Chelodina (Chelydera) kurrichalpongo

More commonly known as the Darwin Snake-necked Turtle, this species of turtle is native to Australia. This species is a little controversial. Georges et al. (2002) analyzed the mtDNA of this species and the Chelodina (Chelodina) rugosa species to see how many loci varied. They concluded that this species was the same as the C. rugosa species. However, Kehlmaier et al. (2019) and Iverson et al. (2019) view them as separate species. Therefore, I will put it as a separate species. Just note that this species might merge with C. rugosa in the future. Later I will add their SCL, synonymy, holotype, type location, IUCN listing, and images!
